There are so many memories after about 60 years of being friends. Pat and I became acquainted about the time our parents let us walk two or three blocks by ourselves. From then on, we were playmates. She gave me a surprise party the day I turned 16. I was with her the night she announced her engagement to Duane at her sorority. I was a bride’s maid at her wedding. I met her children when they were young. I moved to Sacramento and then to Germany. Meanwhile she moved to San Diego. We lost each other in the moves, but we reunited at the 40th reunion of her Hollywood HS class. Yes, we had changed some, but Pat was still Pat! The world needs to clone her attitude. Good bye my dear friend until we play again.
