Patricia Ann Beck 67, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grand mother passed away on April 9,2009 at her home surrounded by her family and San Diego Hospice after battling cancer for many months. Patricia was born in New Castle, Indiana on July 29,1941, and at an early age moved to Hollywood California with her parents Betty and Ed Houseman. She attended Hollywood High School, and the University Of California At Los Angeles. While attending UCLA she majored in Home Economics, and was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Patricia was a member of Saint Peters By The Sea Lutheran Church in Ocean Beach, California. She was on the church council, and was also known as the” coffee lady.” making sure every Sunday someone was available to handle the coffee and goodies. When you wanted something done, just call on Pat and she would make it happen. Patricia was a born sales person. She was a Tupperware lady, and with her salesmanship she became number seven out of 5000 managers in the United States, and in 1972 became a Tupperware Distributor in Riverside, California along with her husband Duane. After selling the Distributorship in 1980 she began a career selling Real Estate. In 1984, she started a third career as an Herbalife Supervisor, which she did until her death. Patricia loved to travel, and during her life visited many wonderful spots in the world. Her last vacation was to Breckenridge, Colorado, which she really enjoyed. She was always ready to have a party, no matter the occasion. She was always a wonderful hostess. Patricia is survived by her husband Duane of 48 years, Daughter Kimberly Richer and (Matt) of Ramona , Ca. Son Richard Beck and (Cheryl) of Carmel Mountain. Ten grand children and four great grand children, and one on the way. Her sister Pam Houseman. Two nephews Brent Griffin and Brian Griffin and their families. Patricia was a very kind and loving person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
